But that's not "talking". That's sending commands to a program and then getting the program's output. The truly mentally damaging thing is thinking something like that is "talking" to "someone". I don't need to be "polite" to a glorified REPL. I'm not going to "insult" it either, of course. The whole thing is absurd. It's a computer program.

I regularly have to fool the latest models to use it for infosec purposes. Being polite almost always works.

I cannot bring myself to treat a machine with the same deference as a human.
Particularly a machine that is designed to trick me.
