In the supplementals, note tables S15-S18 where the researchers find an absence of correlation between medications and remittance; suggesting that, for the sample analyzed, medication treats the symptoms but is not a cure. This tracks — I don’t know of any ADHD med that has a permanent improvement effect! — but it’s useful to see that reflected through an analysis of brain scan data.
