I like Zoxide too much that I missed it in the file manager. So I am writing a Nemo extension to allow changing location querying Zoxide. I just finished a first working version, but in my opinion it misses two points…
In the first place libnemo-extension does not provide a way to change location, so I resorted to call internal Nemo functions, discovered reading the ELF at runtime. I know this is a weak point, but at least the two functions I rely on were never changed since first Nemo release, so I hope they will remain so.
Then there is no way to add new directories in the Zoxide database. When you select a location in the dialog its score is incremented, but there is no way, for now, to reach new locations: you must add them via Zoxide itself. So I was thinking to display, after Zoxide results, the results of fd, but I am still pondering over it.
