Reminds me of so many American tv shows and movies where it seems everyone goes to the shrink, now Big Tech wants everyone to need AI.

My question is WHY ? Why does everyone need a shrink every few days ? Why does everyone need AI ?

Most jobs and activities are plain and simple. How exactly is AI going to help cleaners, who clean toilets or hospitals or shopping centers ? Same question replace plumbers, why does a plumber need AI. Fixing taps, installing a toilet or laying down new pipes, no plumber is going to spend hundreds of dollars on tips from AI.

Why would every worker or employee spend thousands a month on AI for their work, WHY ?

While I think 9% of the US economy is edging onto unrealism even if they were selling globally (on the one hand, the US is about 1/4 of the global nominal GDP so this isn't as stupid as it looks, but on the other hand China's not interested and the EU wants to reduce ties not increase them)…

One thing tech has always done is reduce the skill level needed to be useful, for example cheap electric calculators made it possible to work as a cashier without being any good at mental arithmetic.

So, hypothetically speaking, why would you hire an expensive plumber if you knew some random person wearing AR glasses and getting tips off an AI assistant was 1/3rd the price?

Bad model. But good to make the assumptions clear. Robots are the only thing that matters here.
