Planet Labs already does this. It helps to analyze massive imagery datasets on the edge (space).

the temperature issues... the performance degradation of either radiation or radiation-hardening... the lag... well yes, AI can run in space, but the asterisk on that statement is so big it's slowly crushing and rolling up the preceding letters like a snowball
