Back then, it was clear to me that the world had changed, quite significantly. It wasn’t long before the newspapers and magazines were writing about nothing but this new-fangled self-publishing medium, with both hope and trepidation; both of course being well-founded.
“AI” is the same today. It would frankly be quite strange if a lot of HN wasn’t (in some way) associated with the next seismic-scale paradigm shift. To attempt to stand in the way seems foolish, and just as doomed as the computer magazines I remember from my youth [1]
