I think generally show HN is wanted to have more technical details about what you did not just advertising what you did, but I happen to like what I see here. So a question though, on Mac how does it handle recording screens of a streaming media in browsers? Because what I want mainly for my mac is the ability to take clips of films to put into reviews and say this is the scene I am talking about, but doing that on Mac requires a lot of work arounds that annoy me.

Yeah fair point, probably should have added more on the technical side.

For anyone interested:

- Capture: Rust + ScreenCaptureKit, running as a native Node addon inside Electron. Handles screen + system audio recording. - Editor: React/RVE. Once you finish recording it opens straight in the editor for trimming, captions, effects, export etc. - Export: Done locally in the app, no server (Mediabunny).

And yep, I know exactly what you mean with Netflix/Prime showing a black screen. I tested it after your comment and it’s the DRM protection. I’m not going to try and work around that.
