Musk’s power is the subject of Alex Gibney’s new documentary—and apparently the reason some platforms don’t want to advertise it.

It became obvious that would happen starting few years ago, when any posts about _m_sk would invite what many claim to be a zillion paid bots to change the narrative. Now he has an Ai farm himself and what do you expect.. LOL. Resistance is futile Dr. Smith!

Have we heard from all the non-traditional free speech defenders on this? It's certainly within Elon's purview (albeit hypocritically) to not allow advertising of a documentary on Twitter, but you'd think Greenwald and Taibbi, and those who took issue with Biden admin over countering disinformation would be all over this. Much more egregious than any "Twitter files" material.

A few free speech defenders are consistently consistent about supporting it, but for the most part they are concerned about freedom of their favored speech. Even the ACLU has appeared to waffle a bit.

I think those that defended freedom of speech were in fact very consistent as they argued from principle. It is projection again, since people now complain that the argument "you have a right to free speech but no right to a platform" didn't think that position through to the end and now it bites them back.
And the ACLU has consistently have separated from defending freedom of speech and now is more or less a different institution. It isn't synonymous with most liberal positions on freedom of speech anymore.
