this is incredible tbh. Surprisingly performant for what it is, and looks nice despite its choice.
The LLM isms are as ever bizzare, a classic case of explaining what doesnt need to be explained, and not explaining what needs to be explained.
"the weapons test is fictional, nothing is harmed" as I see an ascii spaceship blow up saturn.
constant reminders that the spaceship im watching travel across the observable galaxy in seconds is made up. Like yeah, obviously...

The vastness of this app is only slightly less than the universe it depicts. I'm only just beginning to explore it all, with 118 objects in the atlas, 9 different tours to choose from, and a fictitious spaceship you can ride as you explore. There's even a badge/award system. The electronic music genres make the experience really atmospheric. In the Settings you can choose the detail level from bold (authentic ASCII art feel) to ultra (almost like pixels). It's like a cross between Elite and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
An absolute must for space fans that helps grasp the scale of the universe.

ASCII now requires WebGL 2?
What a world. Seriously, what is the point in "rendering in ASCII" if WebGL 2 is required?
