I built a small harness where TypeSafe's Jev walks a real FireRed ROM.

It does not look at the screen and it does not pick buttons tile by tile. Each leg the code reads the overworld from RAM, lists destinations the pathfinder already proved are reachable (doors, warps, named routes, a Pokémon Center if the party needs one), and Jev chooses one. Then the emulator walks there. A wild encounter interrupts, Jev gets only legal moves/switches, and journey mode re-plans from wherever the fight left you. An illegal choice stops the run. There is no backup model.

Verified so far: Player's House → Pallet Town → Route 1 → Viridian City, including winning the wild fights. Oak's Parcel and Brock are not built yet.

Needs an Apple Silicon Mac, a TypeSafe API key, and your own FireRed ROM (not included). There is a local UI to edit the lineup, change speed, and scrub the VOD.

Happy to talk through the RAM snapshot, the destination graph, or why switches use personality values instead of party slots.
