Flock has been promoting a recent study of its cameras' impacts on car theft. But the paper didn't demonstrate a causal effect.

The other issue is that for Flock's marketing purpose, if a Flock query was made in relation to a crime, and that crime was later resolved, Flock considers themselves to have "helped solve the crime", regardless of the relevance or lack thereof of the query itself.

Surveillance cameras never did shit for stopping crime, don't know why anybody thought Flock would be different.
